(Recently there has appeared a less suggestive Mrs. Fields-soft-cookie version of diamond plate--if indeed they can still be called that. These rondels are on the edges of subway platforms in New York City; as well, a close cousin of them appears in the Rem Koolhaas library in Seattle.)
